When scuba diving in Costa Rica, Rocket Frog Divers is your 5 Star PADI IDC Dive Center of choice for Guanacaste, Costa Rica. 

 Rocket Frog Divers utilizes 5 purpose built dive boats. The Pacific Express is unlike any other in the area. It features two 250HP V6 Yamaha 4 Stroke engines that allow us to visit our dive sites in a fraction of the time that it takes other dive companies. This proves especially worthwhile when you consider that some of the more popular dive sites in the region, the Bat Islands (Isle Murcileago) and the Catalinas Islands are several hour trips with other operators. The Pacific Express can make the voyage to the Catalinas in less than half an hour. 

The Devil Ray is a catamaran style dive vessel which we acquired in 2015. It is a catamaran style vessel which offers a lot of room and comfort for our divers and also offers an upper level sun deck for surface intervals and for the voyage to and from the dive sites.

Another point that separates us from most dive shops in Costa Rica is that you will have a member of our senior staff diving on the boat with you every day. This ensures that you are getting the best possible service possible.  Our owners care about the experience their customers have and will work their hardest to ensure you have the best possible service on your dive trip.

Dive Sites

There are approximately 20 dive sites near to the Playas del Coco shore. You’ll find additional sites at the Catalina, Bat and Tortuga Islands. The dive sites at the offshore islands are the most famous. In particular, Cueva del Tiburón (a.k.a. Shark Cave) near the Catalina Islands is home to several, sleeping reef sharks. Also, Big Scare near the Bat Islands offers up an adrenalin-filled Bull Shark encounters. Closer to shore, Cabeza de Mono is a superb site for watching rays pass by. Punta Gorda and Punta Argentina are other superb dive sites in the area with a healthy variety of tropical fish life.

• Your proof of certification and logbook will be checked during check-in at the dive center to clarify level and experience: it is your responsibility to ensure you bring these with you and your diving could be at risk if you do not bring these

• Dive times can change due to local weather conditions and it is your responsibility to check in with your dive center after you arrive to confirm the timing of your dives: late check-in could lead to missed dives
• We recommend you buy travel and trip cancellation insurance.Trip deposits are non-refundable and trip is non refundable 100 days prior to departure.  
• Ensure you bring suitable electrical adaptors for the country or countries you are visiting
