Dry Suit Diver

Wanna stay warm and toasty on a dive? Then dive dry. Yes! Unlike a wetsuit, a drysuit seals you off from the outside water and that keeps you warm! Even in surprisingly cold water. Drysuits let you dive more challenging dive sites and extend your dive season.
Safely using dry suits, however, requires special training. That’s where the PADI Drysuit Diver specialty course comes in.

Among the many things you will learn as part of this program:

  • Dry Versus Wet: How drysuits keep you warm in ways no wet suit can ever hope to match.
  • Drysuits and Accessories: A comprehensive guide to drysuit features and materials, as well as to undergarments, hoods, boots, gloves, and other accessories that are unique to drysuit use.
  • Using Drysuits: How to plan and organize drysuit dives, as well as to the specialized procedures for donning drysuits, ascents and descents, and buoyancy control underwater (as well as what to do when the unexpected happens).
  • Drysuit Care and Maintenance: Getting the most from your investment in a dry suit.
