Bimini Big Game Club Resort & Marina
Atlantic Edge Scuba is excited to return to the beautiful Bimini Big Game Club Resort & Marina, one of the most popular dive resorts in the Bahamas. Conveniently located in the heart of Alice Town on North Bimini, the resort offers the perfect combination of comfortable accommodations, outstanding diving, and easy access to restaurants, shops, and Bimini's famous white-sand beaches.
Bimini is world-renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, dramatic walls, blue holes, and abundant marine life. Divers can encounter everything from colorful tropical fish and sea turtles to eagle rays, reef sharks, dolphins, and—during the winter season—the incredible great hammerhead sharks that make Bimini a bucket-list destination for divers from around the world.
After a day of diving, relax around the resort's freshwater swimming pool, unwind in one of the shaded hammocks, or enjoy a meal and drinks at one of the on-site restaurants and bars. The resort is also home to Neal Watson's Bimini Scuba Center and a full-service marina, making it an ideal base for our diving adventures.

-Hammerhead Dives
After anchoring up at Hammer Headquarters, we will begin to set-up for the dive. Once set-up is complete, it's time to start looking for sharks! This process can take anywhere from 5 minutes to several hours (usally a short time during our time of year). Once we attract a Great Hammerhead and they are comfortable, divers will be invited to enter the water. The dive is in approximately 20 feet of water so our tanks will last a long time! Once you're out of air and because the bottom time is so long, we suggest going up, getting some food and resting before going down again. However, you're always welcome to dive, dive, dive! Keep in mind, average water temperature during Hammerhead season is around mid to low 70s, thus we always recommend a full 7mm or 5mm wetsuit, hood and gloves.
Reef Shark Safari/Sapona Wreck
Triangle Rocks are home to our Reef Shark Safari. Once divers are in the water, we safely enjoy watching the Caribbean Reef Sharks and often Blackness Sharks in a controlled, comfortable environment. An exhilarating and informative safari!
Next stop, the Sapona! Probably the most famous dive site in all of Bimini, The Wreck of the Sapona is evidence of the island’s storied history. After running aground in the Great Hurricane of 1926, the Sapona was used during US prohibition to store illegal rum. Located in The Devil’s (or Bermuda) Triangle, the wreck was also the said destination of missing Flight 19. Cited in a James Bond novel and fired upon by George Bush Senior in training exercises, the Sapona’s occult lure and fascination is never ending. Expect to see, a myriad of coral and tropical fish.
