Harvey Warnick

Harvey Warnick

Harvey became a diver earning his open water certification in 1983 and advanced open water certification in 1984. He still has his first mask, snorkel, and fins! After a brief hiatus post college, Harvey came back to diving while on his honeymoon in Cozumel in 1994. After diving a
couple times a year on vacation, he renewed his advanced open water certification in 2006 with Atlantic Edge. Harvey earned his Dive Master qualifications through Atlantic Edge in 2011. In addition, he earned his Master Scuba Diver certification in 2012 after earning a number of specialty courses through Atlantic Edge. Harvey enjoys assisting in classes and showing guest divers the Atlantic Coral Reef exhibit at the
National Aquarium.

When he is not helping instructors with classes, Harvey dives year-round with his son and daughter, who both became divers through Atlantic Edge. Some of these family dives have been in the Florida Keys; Nassau, Bahamas; Hawaii, Burlington, VT; Aruba; and Cancun, Mexico.

Harvey also enjoys diving locally either to gather oysters in winter months, carve pumpkins underwater in October, or just to have fun with family and friends.

When Harvey is not diving, talking about diving, or listening to diving podcasts; he is training for triathlons, running or coaching with one Montgomery County Road Runners, brewing up a refreshing beer, or showing his 1955 Chevrolet Pickup.
