The Red Sea

One amazing scuba diving site is in Eilat, Israel. Israeli marine biologists have been working hard to restore the reefs, which has helped them become more vibrant and lively. The Red Sea is an amazing place to scuba dive and a ton of sea life call this area home. In fact, more than 1,100 species of fish live in these waters and many of them can only be found in this location. This is such a great dive site because it offers amazing visibility on top of the sea life that can be seen. The clear water allows for you to see up to 100 feet, perfect for spotting unique and colorful fish! Shipwrecks, coral, and sea creatures can be found in the Red Sea. Bonaire

One of the popular places to dive in the Caribbean is Bonaire, an island municipality of the Netherlands. This island offers 89 dive sites with beautifully clear water and visibility up to 100 feet year-round. There are over 469 species of fish in this area, along with parrotfish, seahorses, squids, triggerfish, and more! There is so much to see in this part of the sea and so many different places to explore. This is also a marine park, almost like a national park, meaning that it is full of locations that have not been harmed or spoiled by man.

One of the popular sites around Bonaire is called Something Special. This site got it’s name be fishermen who would compare their catches while drinking a rum called Something Special. The name stuck once divers started taking to these waters where sea turtles, eagle rays, frogfish, and other fun species of sea creatures can be found.

Tulum

If you are up for a challenge and an amazing experience, Tulum, Mexico is a great diving location. This is cave diving, which is more difficult than open water diving, but these dives are worth the trip, if you are a skilled diver. Cenote Angelita is a deep cave that offers a dive that only have about 20 logged dives. If you have become certified and are on the advanced level of diving, this could be one dive that you do that is a once in a lifetime experience. Another cave in the area that poses the same challenges is Cenote Dos Ojos. While you may not see the coral reefs, hundreds of species of fish, or any other sea creatures regularly seen while diving, you will be diving in a cave and see different things completely.

Somosomo Strait

This diving site in Fiji is a gorgeous place. The soft corals of the Somosomo Strait’s Rainbow Reef offers a brilliant and colorful dive site. One of the most popular spots in this area is the Great White Wall, which is a dropoff that is covered in light pink soft corals. This reef creates a colorful dive and is a must for divers.
